Nimiipuu Protecting the Environment

Working to educate the Nez Perce people and other Northwest tribes about traditional tribal rights concerning environmental issues.

Working to educate people about the ecological, economic, and cultural benefits of a free-flowing Snake River as well as communicate technical and scientific knowledge about dam breaching.

Columbia River Keepers

Columbia Riverkeeper is a non-profit organization working to protect and restore the waters of the Columbia River and all life connected to it, from the headwaters to the Pacific Ocean.

Save Our Wild Salmon

SOWS focuses their efforts on the Columbia and Snake River Basin, where historically up to 16 million wild salmon returned each year. Today, as few as ten thousand salmon return home to the Snake River. Follow and join their exciting national campaign to restore these endangered salmon and steelhead. By partially removing four dams on the lower Snake River, we can restore the Pacific Northwest’s wild salmon and free-flowing rivers as vital economic engines for local communities.

Write and Call elected representatives and United States federal agency officials (see a list at the bottom of this link) and ask them to support immediate breach of the Lower Snake River dams.
